I have been creative all my life, taking after my father who taught painting, drawing, and photography at my high school (Carlisle High School) for 30 years. I went to Kutztown University of PA and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. There, I had an awesome painting teacher named George Sorrels who encouraged me to apply for graduate school. I attended the University of Delaware and earned my graduate degree in Master of Fine Arts. While at UD, I converted from a film camera to a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera (Nikon D70s in December of 2006). The love for the instant image began to grow. After a few years working as a photographer for a school photo agency and in addition to assisting local photographers as a second shooter for a weddings, I opened up my own photography business. My clients primarily hired me for engagement and wedding wedding photography from 2008 until 2018. Occasionally I picked up clients requesting portrait photography, sports photography and real estate photography. From 2018 until present, my photography focus has been on marketing/product photography for local businesses, lifestyle/business/headshot portraits, family portraits, real estate photography and outdoor adventure/sports photography. With my background in fine arts, I have added on design and marketing services to take a small business start up from bare bones to being visible in the community and online.
I live in North East, Maryland, with my partner in crime, Dustin, two kids, Graeme and Zoey, and our fur babies, Mr. Font the cattle dog and Mr. Henry Black the cat. I have two of the most unique and loving kids any mom could ever hope for, both creative, caring and smart as a whip. We all enjoy seeing new places, playing board games and video games, reading books, and binge watching shows and movies in the comic book genre. When I am not "working" you can find me in my art studio painting, drawing or making sculptures OR out running, biking, or climbing in the woods with Dustin.
