"If a photographer cares about the people before the lens and is compassionate, much is given. It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument.”

I have been an artist all my life, taking after my father who taught painting, drawing, and photography at my high school (Carlisle High School) for 30 years. I went to undergraduate at Kutztown University and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. There I had an awesome painting teacher named George Sorrels who encouraged me to apply for graduate school. I ended up attending the University of Delaware for my graduate degree in Master of Fine Arts. While attending UD, I met my husband, Dann. Our second Christmas together he converted me from a film photographer to a digital photographer with my first DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera (Nikon D70s). The love for the instant image began.

When it comes to writing I prefer to see myself as passionate about being thorough as opposed to being long winded...here goes: I am married to a pretty cool dude, Dann, who supports anything and everything that I am about but is willing to push me farther than I thought I ever would go. We have a son named Graeme Dennis and a daughter named Zoey Marie. They both keep me on my toes as well as the furry members of our family, Hueco and Mr. Font, both Austrailian Cattle Dogs and Mr. Henry our kitty cat. When I am not "working" you can find me on the local trails running, biking or rock climbing.
